Air Depuration

In order to purify the air inside the warehouses in which production activities are carried out, the complex has been equipped with an air extraction, treatment and filtering system.

This Deodorization (Biofiltration) system is a technique for purifying gaseous streams which present polluting gases, and high odor load, Some of them are volatile organic compounds (VOCs), mercaptans, ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, as well as others substances with a significant odoriferous substances, present in air emissions from Waste Treatment Plants.

The process begins with an extraction-capture of the air from the interior of the warehouses and the air focused on some equipment. The air is led through a network of polypropylene ducts in the case of the composting area (trenches, maturation and refining) and galvanized in the pretreatment area, to the installation of the Biofilters itself, where the pretreatment. and purification of the air captured in the warehouses take place.

The facility has three biofilters with the following characteristics:

  • Biofilter 1:
    • Purified area: Pretreatment and Reception Warehouses
    • Nominal flow: 171.064 Nm3 / h
    • Catchment sectors: 4
    • Biofiltration modules: 2

  • Biofilter 2:
    • Purified area: Maturation, Refining and Compost Warehouse
